PRRT™ Clinical Training Roadmap

PRRT™ is not a single course. It is a structured clinical training system designed to help practitioners assess protective reflex patterns and create rapid, meaningful change.

Practitioners typically enter PRRT™ in one of two ways: exploration or immersion. Both paths lead to the same clinical framework. The difference is how ready you are to commit to hands-on training.

This roadmap clearly explains those paths, so you can choose the one that fits your current stage without confusion or unnecessary steps.

Two Ways to Enter PRRT™

Path 1: Explore PRRT™

(Self-paced, no live commitment yet)

This path is designed for practitioners who want to understand PRRT™ before committing to live training. It emphasizes concepts, foundations, and clinical context without requiring travel or hands-on attendance.

Recommended if you are:

  • New to PRRT™
  • Curious but not ready for live training
  • Exploring whether reflex-based work fits your practice

This path includes:

Starter Series (Free)
An introduction to PRRT™ concepts, clinical philosophy, and how reflexive patterns influence pain and movement.

PRRT™ Essentials (Home Study)
A self-paced foundational course covering:

  • Core principles that guide PRRT™ techniques
  • Introduction to reflex-based decision making
  • The role of the nervous system in protective patterns

This course stands alone and does not require live registration.

Quick Start Bundle
For practitioners who want to move beyond theory and begin applying concepts more quickly. Starter Series upgrade credit applies here.

This exploratory path is optional. Registration is not required for live Level 1 training.

Path 2: Train in PRRT™

(Live, hands-on clinical immersion)

This path is for practitioners who are ready to apply PRRT™ in real clinical settings through hands-on instruction.

If you already know you want to train in PRRT™, this is where you start.

Live PRRT™ Training Pathway

Level 1 — Live In-Person Training (2 Days)

Level 1 is the clinical foundation of PRRT™.

This course focuses on:

  • The One-Minute Nociceptive Exam
  • Global reflex downregulation strategies
  • Foundational techniques used across all PRRT™ levels
  • Clinical decision-making based on exam findings

Important:
PRRT™ Essentials provides the required foundational preparation for Level 1 live training. Access is included with Level 1 live training registration and is expected to be completed before attending, as Level 1 builds on this material rather than repeating it in full.

Level 1 Live Training Includes:

  • Two days of live, in-person instruction
  • Printed course manual (subject to planning cutoff)
  • Certification eligibility
  • Level 1 on-demand course included for reinforcement and review

This is the cleanest entry point for practitioners ready to train.

Combined Level 1 & 2 — Intensive Live Training (3 Days)

The combined Level 1 & 2 course is the fastest and most comprehensive early pathway in PRRT™.

This format is recommended for practitioners who want to move quickly from foundational assessment into deeper regional and reflexive applications.

Combined Training Focuses On:

  • Level 1 foundations and exam strategy
  • Expanded Level 2 assessments and techniques
  • Advanced clinical reasoning
  • Greater pattern recognition across systems

This is the flagship PRRT™ experience and is offered at select locations.

Early registration includes:

  • Printed manuals for both levels
  • Event-specific course recordings
  • Full certification eligibility for Levels 1 and 2

Level 2 — Intermediate Live Training (2 Days)

Level 2 builds on Level 1 by expanding:

  • Assessment depth
  • Regional reflex relationships
  • Home exercise strategies
  • Clinical problem-solving beyond isolated symptoms

Level 2 builds on Level 1 concepts and is appropriate once those foundations are established, either through prior Level 1 training or within a combined Level 1 & 2 format.

Level 3 — Speed, Flow, and Real-Time Clinical Decision Making

Level 3 focuses on working efficiently under real-world constraints.

Practitioners learn to:

  • Rapidly assess and treat functional patterns using abbreviated exams
  • Apply reflex-based techniques in seated, standing, and dynamic positions
  • Address fascial and neurological restrictions simultaneously

At this stage, clinicians begin solving problems in motion, not just on the table.

Level 4 — Global Integration and Complex Pattern Resolution

Level 4 expands clinical reasoning beyond isolated regions.

Practitioners learn to:

  • Identify how distal systems influence global pain patterns
  • Integrate reflexive kinetic chains across multiple body regions
  • Apply multi-system logic to complex or recurring presentations

This level is where clinicians move from treating symptoms to resolving systemic drivers.

Level 5 — Mastery, Precision, and Clinical Leadership

Level 5 is designed for clinicians seeking mastery and long-term confidence.

At this level, practitioners:

  • Work through complex cases using modular, system-based strategies
  • Apply techniques across multiple systems with speed and precision
  • Develop the confidence to mentor, teach, or lead within reflex-based frameworks

This is where clinical reasoning becomes intuitive, efficient, and adaptable.

Choosing the Right Starting Point

  • If you want to learn about PRRT™ first, start with the Starter Series or PRRT™ Essentials.
  • If you want to apply PRRT™ clinically, begin with Level 1 live training.
  • If you want the fastest early progression, choose the Combined Level 1 & 2 flagship course.

There is no single “correct” entry point. There is only one point that matches your readiness.

Planning & Registration Notes

To ensure high-quality delivery, PRRT™ courses follow a standardized planning window.

Registrations completed six weeks or more before the event are guaranteed inclusion of:

  • Printed course manuals
  • Catered lunches (where applicable)
  • Course recording access is provided for all live trainings, with event-specific recordings available for applicable flagship events.

Registrations completed within six weeks of the event remain fully eligible for live training but may not include all logistical elements by default.

This planning structure protects course quality and practitioner outcomes.

The Clinical Transformation

Clinicians who progress through the PRRT™ training pathway often describe a fundamental shift in how they assess and treat pain.

“This changed everything in my clinic. The way I listen, assess, and treat is completely different now — and so are my results.”
— Blondel Assonken, P.T., Spokane, WA

Graduates commonly report:

  • Faster patient breakthroughs
  • Increased confidence with complex cases
  • Stronger word-of-mouth referrals
  • Higher patient satisfaction
  • Renewed clinical engagement and curiosity
  • A deeper understanding of the nervous system’s role in pain

PRRT™ is not about adding more techniques.
It is about changing how you think, assess, and respond clinically.
